You don't have to look very far to see that no one is exempt from the problems of everyday life. Since the dawn of creation mankind has searched for answers to life's challenges, while artisans from various persuasions have produced icons and images as expressions of Divine hope. As I've spent time behind the viewfinder of my camera seeing what lay before me, I've realized there is more to a photograph than a image - there's a story waiting to be told. His story, or maybe your story.

My aim is to listen to the voice of the Creator and capture His creation in order to encourage and inspire others through our body of work. And, ignite the imagination of believers everywhere.

Our Distinctions line of work is about connecting the heart with the head, the imagination with the Word. Let's face it, all of us see in different ways - some through text and some through image. Neither is exclusive of the other. My aim through each Distinction title is to unite both. For too long we've chosen sides between the written Word and visual art (or any other art form).

Scripture is God's story. And in it are volumes of stories, parables, songs, and poetry, all creatively communicating His truth. Can you read one of Jesus' parables and not picture in your mind what the scene or characters look like? I hardly doubt it. That's why God gave you an imagination - to see into His story. Better yet, to see Him! He has made Himself known. Are you looking?

Place yourself on the edge of the Red Sea like Moses, or at the foot of the cross on the Friday "we" call Good. Go ahead and unite your heart with your head, and the next time you open the Word maybe your own image will come to mind.
