Jesus invites you in

Occasionally the passing of time will have a change on your perspective. A little background first – I was asked to provide two pieces of artwork for the upcoming Good Friday Experience at Windsor Crossing Church www.wcrossing.com

One of those works is - When others look for a way out, Jesus invites you in. When I wrote this title originally,(the B&W version is next to this work in the gallery) the image that I used was of a windblown flower shot in black and white. It seemed lifeless and devoid of color, without purpose or clear distinction. And that reminded me of the story of the Prodigal Son who was lost, broke, alone, and defeated. But he came to his senses and the story unfolds.

As I prepared to submit my work, I thought about the season of Easter and what it means – redemption and reconciliation - for “each of us who has gone our own way.” And like the Prodigal, we need color restored in our lives. So, with color in hand I've created this unique piece, reflecting the life and vitality that only the hand of our Father can give.

Wherever you are along the road of life, know this – you have a Father waiting for you to come home. The party is ready to begin!
