On solid ground

I must have a thing for mountains. This image was taken atop the highest spot in the Texas Hill Country area. The solidarity tree, almost like a sentinel, stood watch over the valley below. Scarred by all sorts of weather, this tree has stood the test of time.

It reminds me of Moses, one of my favorite characters. He spent his share of time on the Mount, and no doubt had the battle scars to prove it. In the narrative below however, he had a little help from his brother and friend.

Do you have a friend or brother like that to hold your hands up from time to time? I’m a lucky man because I have had both many times over.
